By Rob Love, President CEO
After last week’s highly entertaining—yet somewhat disappointing—trip to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, I’m off this week for Round 2 of my journey to discover “What’s Next” for senior living: The International Builders Show (IBS) in Orlando.
I’m much more optimistic about seeing and learning things of direct relevance to our field this week. Education sessions I hope to attend include, “The Must-See Universal Design and Aging-in-Place Products,” “Building the New Smart and Connected Home with Nest,” “Top Five Tips for Incorporating Technology into Remodeling Projects” (relevant for dealing with turnover residences), “Technology: The New Smart Home for Active Adults and Aging-in-Place Populations,” and more.
Stay tuned for more updates on interesting trends and possibilities over the next couple of days, and thanks for everyone’s comments and notes on last week’s posts!
