Love & Company expands its health services division in response to changing needs of the aging boomer population

Frederick, MD—September 29, 2015— Senior housing continues to evolve to meet the growing needs of our nation’s aging population. But where is the smart money going? Robert Kramer of the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care Industry says senior housing providers are investing in memory care. In particular, he is seeing continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) renovating their existing communities, independent living and assisted living communities are expanding, and new freestanding memory care facilities being built.

“We are definitely seeing a lot of investment by our CCRC clients into the health services side of the business right now. And it is more than just memory care. Our client John Knox Village is getting ready to open a state-of-the-art Green House with a heavy rehab component on its campus,” notes Rob Love, CEO and president of Love & Company. The communities Love & Company serves continue to add an ever-growing array of health care services. With this in mind, Love & Company will expand its emphasis on health care services marketing, including assisted living, memory support, rehabilitation, and long-term care services.

“This is a very exciting opportunity for our firm. We believe that Love & Company is well positioned to help these organizations. We have done significant work in assisted living, memory support and healthcare marketing, and it is an area in which there are currently not many resources for clients to turn to,” Love adds.

Love & Company’s Christine Carruthers, Vice President, Health Services Marketing, will oversee this growing line of business. With her experience as an executive director, coupled with her many years of assisted living and health services marketing and sales experience, Carruthers is ideally suited to lead this effort.

“We’ve expanded this business line to stay ahead of the industry curve. We offer market research, marketing and outreach plans, advertising, public relations, social media, and sales support services focused on health services. We’re already seeing signs that our clients’ needs are changing, which means we should be changing as well to better fulfill those needs,” says Carruthers.
