Last January, Rob Love attended both the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, and the International Builders Show in Orlando. He found that the Consumer Electronics Show had little to offer to senior living leaders. However, the International Builder’s Show was filled with inspiration and real-world ways to advance your senior living community, and help reposition and remodel to attract the next generation of senior living residents.

Here are some of the blogs he wrote last year while “on the ground” in Orlando, highlighting products and services that can and should be used in senior living:

Rob’s Star of the Show – Rev-A-Shelf

This Conference Will Probably Cost Me Tens of Thousands of Dollars

In Rob’s recap last year, he highlighted four reasons for CEOs, marketing directors and plant or facility managers to attend the International Builders Show in 2018 to stay abreast on trends in home design and home technology. Attendees will:

  • learn about and understand the full potential of incorporating smart home technology into your communities—now
  • get tremendous exposure to overall trends in home design, style palettes and materials, especially for kitchens and bathrooms
  • be able to attend educational sessions on trends in aging-in-place products and services
  • learn about trends in design and sales of 55+ homes, which could become competitors for senior living in the years to come

In short, you will see and learn things at the International Builder’s Show that you won’t see at LeadingAge state or national conferences.

The 2018 show will be held at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando from January 9 to 11. Exhibits will be open all three days, and there are many educational sessions as well.

We invite you to attend the conference so, together, we can continue to advance the field of senior living. Want to schedule a time to get together at the show, or even tour exhibits together? Give us a call at 301-663-1239. We’d love to help you plan the future of your community!
