Emily Harman, Director of Media at Love & Company, Wins 2013 “Media Buyer of the Year” Award

FREDERICK, Md. (Aug. 7, 2013)—Love & Company, a nationally-recognized marketing firm specializing in senior living, is proud to announce that Emily Harman, director of media/senior marketing account manager at Love & Company, received the 2013 Maven award for Media Buyer of the Year from the American Advertising Federation-Greater Frederick (AAF-GF).

Harman is a graduate of Notre Dame of Maryland University, and is a resident of Frederick, Md., where she volunteers at Whittier Elementary School. As director of media, Harman oversees the strategic media planning and buying processes for all of the agency’s clientele, in addition to managing client marketing accounts.

“Emily is an excellent media buyer and marketing strategist, and juggles all of that while actively volunteering at her daughter’s elementary school. We know that she works hard, and it is nice to see her get recognition for that effort,” said Lisa Pearre, principal and vice president of client services at Love & Company.

The AAF- Greater Frederick is the regional professional organization for individuals who work in advertising, marketing and related fields within central and Western Maryland. Established in 1989, AAF–Greater Frederick is one of 210 local chapters of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), the national organization that acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising.” The AAF is divided into 15 districts and our local club is part of District 2, which includes New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia.

The Maven Awards were established by the board of the AAF-GF to recognize excellence in all areas of advertising — from printing to social media and account executive to event planner.
