In Memory of Rick Hunsicker

It was with great sadness that we recently learned of the passing of Rick Hunsicker. Rick was a friend for many years, as well as a dedicated Love & Company team member for several years before retiring in 2019. During his time with us, Rick’s expertise in senior living services and his infectious enthusiasm were a benefit to Love & Company and our clients. I fondly remember our spirited discussions about the future of senior living and our shared passion for improving the lives of seniors. Rick served the senior living field well for several decades, and he will be missed by many.

Rick, a grateful heart transplant recipient, outlived the expected life of his new heart by several years. I know he valued every day he got to spend with his lovely wife Roxanne and their grandchildren. Rick’s love for his family was evident in the way his face lit up whenever he spoke about them, especially when sharing stories of his grandchildren, who he moved to be closer to after his retirement.

Charles Richard Hunsicker, Jr.
June 30, 1950 – July 9, 2024

Native El Pasoan, Austin HS and UTEP graduate, Kappa Sig member, realtor, business founder/owner, Senior Living Services guru, avid angler, NASCAR driver, sky diver, keen international hunter, great water and snow skier/teacher, eager camper, patient boat captain, cap collector, lover of all sports, World Series attendee, good-enough golfer, dedicated black-jack and three-card poker player, world traveler, loud whisperer, lure and tackle hoarder, slowest driver in the furthest left lane, hater of most politicians, dialysis patient, dog/bird lover, some-time gardener, meticulous finance manager, occasional day trader, Sound Booth volunteer, grateful heart transplant recipient, failed yet enthusiastic comedian, garage organizer, handsome husband, adorer of family, loyal friend, beloved by all.
